Hubby got a new FANCY computer and while he cooks dinner, I am fiddling with it. Thought it would be a good time to post an entry. I don't have anything particularly "blogable" to post, but figured I'd just update what all is going on.

In the waiting room of the White House. Note the antiques, lovely painting and phone circa 1974
* Work - went on a tour of the White House (complete with photos!) It was really awesome! I am still really enjoying my job (4 months in to the new role). I am definitely not winning any popularity contests with others because a good portion of my job is to say 'no'... but I do get a lot of good feeling from doing it, which is great.

* Home - All is well. Itty got another increase of insulin, but seems to be doing OK otherwise. She is still playing fetch by sound and smell - since she can't see anymore. Big pup is just as cuddly as ever. Hubby got his new computer, but also got a big HD TV. He got it around christmas time, but not sure I ever blogged it. He is a big fan. My ipod died... it was ticking (couldn't have been a good sign) before it died. I am not sure what I did wrong... to make it tick... but it did die. The gym is not as entertaining anymore... which is very sad. I am getting a new one though, which is very happy.

*Friends - It is that time again... everyone is getting married. E and now Mrs. E got married in Sept, our other friend "Fashionista/duck hunter" is getting married this coming September. She had one of the greatest engagement stories ever! Her soon to be husband did a LOT of planning and did a good job! Then, last night "B" told me that the other half has picked out an engagement ring... it was described as "the one". that wedding won't be for a while though... the other half is in college and they will likely wait until he graduates.

* other - I am still keeping up with the gym and loosing weight. It is MUCH slower than I wish it were, but I believe I am actually making positive changes instead of doing the quick on/quick off version. So far, I have lost 8 pounds. I have found 4 classes at the gym that I really enjoy and they have really great machines and cardio equipment. when I get teh ipod back it will be better  won't suck as much.. but still good now. I am even going in the morning on the days I know I can't go in the evening! one of the "gym friends" is very kind and compliments my fortitude. I don't think it is all that great, but it is nice to hear.

That is about it. Have a great pres. day :)
